Nonconference Schedule Released for UK Basketball 2024-25 Season
The University of Kentucky men’s basketball team has unveiled its nonconference schedule for the upcoming 2024-25 season, and fans have plenty to look forward to. The 13-game schedule features nine home games at Rupp Arena, kicking off with matchups against Wright State and Bucknell in early November.
One of the most anticipated games on the schedule is a showdown against Duke in the State Farm Champions Classic on November 12. In-state rivals, the Louisville Cardinals, will also visit Lexington on December 14 for what is sure to be an intense matchup.
Kentucky will face off against several notable opponents throughout the season, including Western Kentucky, Clemson, and Gonzaga. The Wildcats will also take on four first-time opponents: Brown, Bucknell, Colgate, and Jackson State.
With a total of 13 teams that made appearances in the 2023-24 NCAA Tournament, including five Sweet Sixteen teams from the previous season, Kentucky’s schedule is sure to provide plenty of excitement for fans. This season will also mark the first under new head coach Mark Pope, following John Calipari’s departure after 15 seasons at the helm.
