University of Louisville Basketball Staff Triple-Teams Adidas Event in Rock Hill, S.C.

The University of Louisville basketball staff is leaving no stone unturned in their search for top talent, as they triple-teamed the Adidas event in Rock Hill, South Carolina. Head coach Pat Kelsey and assistants Thomas Carr and Brian Kliman spent the day at the Adidas Boys 3SSB Palmetto Road Championships, keeping a close eye on three high-profile prospects.

Five-star recruits Darryn Peterson, Mikel Brown Jr., and Nate Ament were the focus of the coaches’ attention, with all three coaches watching them in action in two different games. Peterson, a 6-foot-5 forward from Huntington Prep, impressed with his scoring ability, putting up 57 points in two games. Brown, a 6-3 point guard, also showed his scoring prowess, while Ament, a 6-9 big man, led his team to victory.

In addition to these top prospects, U of L assistant coach Ronnie Hamilton was scouting potential recruits at the PUMA event in Phoenix. New Orleans native Chris Cenac and 7-foot center Eric Reibe are among the targets being considered by the Cardinals.

With the semifinals of the 17s bracket featuring U of L targets, the coaching staff is clearly focused on building a strong team for the future. Louisville fans can expect exciting developments in the recruitment process as the staff continues to identify and evaluate top talent.
