Former FSU Player Darin Green Jr. Signs Exhibit-10 Contract with San Antonio Spurs
Former Florida State basketball player, Darin Green Jr., has secured a chance to make his mark in the NBA with the San Antonio Spurs. Despite no Seminoles being selected in the 2024 NBA Draft for the third consecutive year, Green will be joining the Spurs on an Exhibit-10 contract.
Green, a two-year starter at Florida State after transferring from UCF, will be showcasing his skills on the Spurs’ Summer League roster. Known for his sharpshooting ability, Green averaged 12.4 PPG during his time at FSU, shooting an impressive 37.1% from beyond the arc. His 169 three-pointers in garnet and gold rank him 11th in program history, highlighting his scoring prowess.
Although he went undrafted after multiple workouts with various NBA teams, including the Kings, Nets, Warriors, and Wizards, Green’s talent ultimately caught the eye of the Spurs. Exhibit-10 contracts like the one Green signed are one-year deals at the minimum salary, with the club retaining the player’s G-League rights if they are cut from the team.
This opportunity with the Spurs adds Green to the list of Seminoles who have recently made waves in the NBA, including Devin Vassell, RaiQuan Gray, and Anthony Polite. As Green embarks on this new chapter in his basketball career, fans can look forward to seeing him in action during the upcoming Summer League games starting in July.
