Kentucky Men’s Basketball Announces 2024-25 Nonconference Schedule
The Kentucky men’s basketball team is gearing up for an exciting 2024-25 season with a stacked nonconference schedule that includes a mix of home games, road contests, and neutral-site matchups.
The Wildcats will kick off their nonconference slate with nine home games at Rupp Arena, facing off against teams like Wright State, Bucknell, and Georgia State. They will also hit the road for a matchup against Clemson in the SEC/ACC Challenge and travel to Seattle to take on Gonzaga in the Battle for Seattle.
One of the highlights of the schedule is the BBN Invitational, where Kentucky will face Lipscomb, Jackson State, and Western Kentucky University. The game against Jackson State will mark the fourth installment of the Unity Series, a series aimed at raising awareness for Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs).
In addition to familiar opponents, the Cats will also take on four first-time opponents: Brown, Bucknell, Colgate, and Jackson State. With a total of 13 teams on the schedule who reached the 2023-24 NCAA Tournament, Kentucky is set to face some tough competition.
The team will wrap up its nonconference schedule with a showdown against in-state rival Louisville and a matchup against Ohio State in the CBS Sports Classic in New York. Fans can expect an action-packed season as the Wildcats look to make their mark in college basketball.
