In a series of tech updates, Apple has revealed a range of India-focused features to be included in eligible iPhones with the upcoming iOS 18 update. These enhancements will cover communication, language input, and significant updates to the Move to iOS app, catering specifically to users in India. The update is expected to be released later this year.

Meanwhile, Meta has revamped the labeling of artificial intelligence manipulated content on its platforms like Instagram and Facebook. The company will now use the “AI info” badge instead of the previous “Made with AI” label, providing clickable information for better context.

ASUS has also started pre-bookings for its first laptop based on Microsoft’s Copilot+ PC platform, the ASUS Vivobook S15. Powered by the Qualcomm X Elite chip, this laptop boasts AI capabilities from Microsoft Copilot and proprietary AI functionalities. The official launch date for the ASUS Vivobook S15 is set for July 9.

Additionally, Apple is reportedly planning to introduce a subscription model for its AI tools and features under the Apple Intelligence umbrella. While these tools will initially be free on supported Apple devices, the company has long-term plans to monetize these features.

On the other hand, Meta is said to be working on new AI features for WhatsApp that will allow users to generate images of themselves in different backgrounds and themes. This feature is currently in development and may be included in a future app update.

Lastly, Samsung is rumored to discontinue its compact flagship tablet with the upcoming Galaxy Tab S series. The new series will include only a Plus model and an Ultra model, phasing out the standard 11-inch model. The Galaxy Tab S10 series, expected to launch around the Galaxy Unpacked event on July 10, will feature a 12.4-inch model and a 14.6-inch model, marking a significant shift in Samsung’s tablet lineup strategy.
