Confluent Health Names New CEO as Founder Transitions to Executive Chairman
Confluent Health, a Louisville-based health care company, has announced a major leadership change as its founder transitions to a new role. Dr. Larry Benz, who founded the company in 2014 and served as its president and CEO, is now taking on the position of Executive Chairman of the board of directors. In his new role, Benz will focus on guiding the company’s strategic direction and driving growth in the musculoskeletal sector.
Stepping into the role of CEO is Dr. Kristi Henderson, a seasoned executive with over 25 years of experience in digital health. Henderson has previously served as CEO of Optum Everycare and has led clinical operations for Amazon Care. In a statement, Henderson expressed her excitement about the opportunity to work with Benz and the entire team at Confluent Health to build on the company’s successes and drive further growth and innovation.
In addition to her role as CEO, Henderson will continue to serve as the Board Chair for the American Telemedicine Association. She will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day outpatient and clinical operations at Confluent Health. Benz, on the other hand, will focus on leading the company’s digital innovation arm.
Confluent Health has also announced several other leadership appointments at its headquarters, including senior vice presidents for outpatient rehab companies, an executive vice president for Innovations, a chief marketing officer, a chief strategy officer, a chief operating officer for Evidence in Motion, and a chief legal and compliance officer.
The company has been experiencing significant growth, doubling the size of its headquarters with a $10 million expansion last year and recently receiving approval for a 10-year performance-based agreement that could provide up to $3.5 million in tax incentives. With plans to create 350 full-time jobs over the next decade, Confluent Health is poised for continued success in the health care industry.
