University of Louisville Basketball Coach Pat Kelsey Hits the Recruiting Trail for Class of 2025
University of Louisville basketball coach Pat Kelsey and his staff are gearing up for a busy few weeks as they hit the road for the first of three live evaluation periods this month. The main focus for the staff will be evaluating and filling the Class of 2025, as the Cardinals currently do not have any commitments in that class.
Since Kelsey took over as head coach in late March, the staff has been hard at work on the recruiting trail, adding 13 newcomers to the current roster. They have also been actively scouting prospects, offering 19 players in the Class of 2025 after evaluating them in April and June at various events.
The staff will be focusing on the ’25 prospects during this evaluation period, but they will also be keeping an eye on players in the Class of 2026 and ’27. Louisville has two official visitors confirmed for the fall – forward Shelton Henderson and guard Acaden Lewis.
Among the top prospects to watch in the Class of 2025 are Davion Hannah, Shelton Henderson, JJ Mandaquit, London Jemison, Nate Ament, Acaden Lewis, Mikel Brown, Chris Cenac, ZyMicah Wilkins, and Malachi Moreno. These players have received offers from Louisville and other top programs, showcasing their talent and potential.
As the staff hits the road this month, they will be focused on identifying and recruiting the best prospects to join the Cardinals’ program. Stay tuned for more updates on their recruiting efforts and the Class of 2025 as they work towards building a strong team for the future.
