Tucker Biven Selected to Attend USA Collegiate National Team Training Camp

University of Louisville’s Tucker Biven Invited to Team USA’s Collegiate National Team Training Camp

The University of Louisville baseball program continues to make its mark on the national stage as closer Tucker Biven has earned an invitation to Team USA’s Collegiate National Team Training Camp. Biven joins teammates Zion Rose and Patrick Forbes on the prestigious roster, becoming the 21st Louisville player in program history to compete with the Collegiate National Team.

Biven, a standout sophomore from New Albany, Ind., had a stellar season with the Cardinals this spring, finishing with a 4-2 record and five saves in 24 relief appearances. He posted a solid 3.82 ERA and struck out 40 batters in 35.1 innings of work.

The USA Baseball Collegiate National Team Training Camp will feature 55 of the top non-draft-eligible college players in a two-game Stars vs. Stripes intrasquad series in North Carolina on June 26 and 27. Following the training camp, USA Baseball will select the final Collegiate National Team roster for an International Friendship Series and a Summer League Tour.

Louisville has a rich history of sending players to represent the United States, with notable alumni including Brendan McKay and Corey Ray. Biven’s selection adds to the legacy of Cardinals players who have excelled at the national level.

Fans can catch Biven and his Team USA teammates in action at the USA Baseball National Training Complex in Cary, North Carolina, with games scheduled for June 26 and 27. The roster will then compete in various series and matchups throughout the summer, culminating in a Fourth of July showdown between the two U.S. Collegiate National Team squads.

Biven’s selection to Team USA’s Collegiate National Team Training Camp is a testament to his talent and dedication to the game, and Louisville fans will undoubtedly be cheering him on as he represents the Cardinals on the national stage.
