Louisville Orchestra to Hold Free ‘Play America’ Concert this Friday

Louisville Orchestra Hosts Free Independence Day Concert in Jeffersonville

The Louisville Orchestra is gearing up for an exciting and free concert in honor of Independence Day this week. The Grammy-winning act will be taking the stage for their “Play America” concert on July 5 at the Jeffersonville America Place at River Ridge from 8-10 p.m.

Conductor Teddy Abrams and the orchestra are set to deliver a captivating performance featuring a mix of classical and contemporary pieces. But this event goes beyond just music, as families are invited to arrive early and enjoy a variety of food trucks and other activities before the concert begins.

Irene Carter from the Jasteka Cultural Center emphasized the importance of breaking down barriers to culture, stating, “It’s free. There’s going to be playgrounds for the kids. You can bring a blanket, bring your own food, eat our food. The children can dance and sing along with the music. We’ve tried to make this free and open to everyone.”

While tickets are not required for this event, organizers recommend registering beforehand to secure your spot. This promises to be a memorable evening filled with music, food, and fun for all ages. Don’t miss out on this fantastic opportunity to celebrate Independence Day with the Louisville Orchestra.
