Amplify 502 Youth Awards celebrate Louisville’s resilient young people
The Office for Safe and Healthy Neighborhoods in Louisville, Kentucky, celebrated the resilience and determination of young people who have overcome significant challenges in their lives. The Amplify 502 Youth Awards honored 73 individuals from diverse backgrounds, representing nearly all of Louisville’s zip codes.
Among the recipients was Jacobe Daugherty, who founded a non-profit organization called Talented Minds to support young athletes struggling with mental health issues. Daugherty shared his message of hope and inspiration, encouraging others to pursue their dreams and avoid negative paths.
Another remarkable honoree was Madison Rutledge, a 9th grader born with chronic lung disease and pulmonary hypertension. Despite facing numerous medical challenges, Madison has shown incredible strength and positivity. Her mother, Paula Roarx, expressed pride in her daughter’s unwavering spirit and resilience.
Despite facing uncertain health circumstances, Madison continues to inspire those around her with her faith and determination. The Amplify 502 Youth program recognizes and celebrates the remarkable achievements of young people who have overcome adversity and emerged stronger.
