Man Shot in West Louisville Near Recent Club Shooting, LMPD Investigating
In the early hours of Sunday morning, a man was shot in west Louisville, not far from the location of last weekend’s tragic club shooting. Louisville Metro Police responded to the incident in the 2700 block of West Broadway, a busy area near a Kroger and U.S. Post Office.
The victim, who was conscious and alert despite his gunshot wound, was swiftly taken to UofL Hospital for medical attention. The LMPD’s Non-Fatal Shooting Unit is currently investigating the incident, but as of now, there are no known suspects.
This shooting comes just a week after the horrific incident at Club H2O, where multiple people were shot and one lost their life. The proximity of these two violent events has left the community on edge and concerned for their safety.
