Chappell Roan Fans Line Up for Signed Albums at Guestroom Records
The excitement was palpable on Frankfort Avenue Friday morning as a long line of eager fans wrapped around the block, all hoping to get their hands on a signed album from rising popstar Chappell Roan. The line started at Guestroom Records and extended all the way to Hilltop Tavern and into the alley, showcasing the dedication of Roan’s supporters.
Chappell Roan recently performed at Kentuckiana Pride, where she made history with the first sellout in the festival’s history. During her time in town, she took the opportunity to sign copies of her album “Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess,” which quickly became a hot commodity among fans.
Guestroom Records opened their doors at 11:30 a.m., but even hours before that, the line was already snaking down the block. While the store did not disclose how many signed albums were available, they did confirm that they sold out within just half an hour. Despite the sellout, around 75 people were still patiently waiting in line when the last album was claimed.
In a heartwarming gesture, Guestroom Records announced that $5 from each sale would be donated to the ACLU Drag Defense Fund in honor of the 55th anniversary of the Stonewall Riots. Additionally, they will continue to accept donations throughout the weekend to support this important cause.
The frenzy for Chappell Roan’s signed albums at Guestroom Records on Frankfort Avenue was a true testament to the singer’s growing popularity and the unwavering support of her dedicated fanbase.
