Mid-week weather: Additional chances for scattered showers and storms
The much-needed rain chances have arrived in Louisville! Chief Meteorologist Jay Cardosi reported that Tuesday evening’s storms will gradually weaken, but additional scattered shower and storm chances are expected to return later Tuesday night and continue through Wednesday evening.
A weak storm system moving across the region will bring more chances for much-needed rainfall. The future radar is showing another batch of scattered showers and storms late Tuesday night into Wednesday morning. While widespread severe weather is not expected, brief, gusty winds could be possible.
As the second batch of storms clears the region, there is a possibility of a third batch firing up later on Wednesday. Residents are advised to stay weather-aware and keep an eye on the changing weather conditions.
The forecast for Wednesday includes scattered showers and storms, with temperatures hovering in the 70s. After the storms move out on Wednesday evening, Thursday is expected to be delightful with lower humidity and lots of sun.
Overall, the region can expect multiple chances for rain in the next 24 hours, providing much-needed relief from the recent dry and hot weather conditions. Stay tuned for updates on the changing weather patterns in the Louisville area.
