‘It’s terrible’: Residents concerned after man shot in Russell neighborhood
Louisville Metro Police Department is currently investigating a shooting incident that occurred in the Russell neighborhood. The incident took place on Tuesday afternoon at the intersection of 28th and Jefferson streets.
Upon arrival at the scene, officers found a man who had been shot. The victim was immediately transported to a local hospital for treatment of his non-life-threatening injuries.
Residents in the area, like Dominique Gahafer, expressed their concerns about the ongoing violence in the neighborhood. Gahafer mentioned, “It’s terrible to know my kids are out here playing and you never know what can happen. It’s an upgrade on the house, just not the neighborhood.”
